As the Brass teacher of Harrow, Kellett, Chinese and Nord Anglia International Schools in HK and the “British School Al Khubairat” and Dubai College in the UAE. Also the Assistant Musical Director and of the UAE Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Trumpet of the UAEPO, DPO, DFO, Bahrain Festival Orchestra and Syrian National Orchestra! His Jazz groups “Stay Katz” in HK, “Kaleidoscope” and AD Big band played at the Fridge Festival, Dubai International Jazz Festival, Sundance, Chill-out Festivals, World Travel Awards, British Embassy, Emirates Palace and Atlantis Hotel many times.
An ex-Principal cornet with Kew Band, Melbourne, Matthews Norfolk Brass. Ex-assistant Principal Cornet with many of the World’s top brass bands including Black Dyke, B&R, GUS and leader of “The Young Ambassadors BB of GB” on 5 international tours to Europe and the USA. He is signed to the Red Bull label “One28” where he is featured in “Deep House” recordings. After a major traffic accident, David completed an MA in Embouchure and Musculature problems, and his UAE pupils have scored excellent results in ABRSM and Trinity exams including a Licentiate (degree equivalent) in year 10 and many have gone on to Full-time music study. His UAE pupils played for HM the Queen, Princes Philip, Charles, Andrew, Princess Beatrice, Tony Blair, Pele, YoYoMa etc.
From January 2016 he has been playing Soprano with Wingates Band and has been favourably mentioned in dispatches many times by the adjudicators at the North West areas, Brighouse, Morley and Hebden Bridge contest this year. His time at Wingates was curtailed by a further medical complication which seems to have cleared up now! He is Performing Arts teacher at a school in Bradford.
