Leisa follows in the footsteps of great cornet players such as Graham Walker, Alan Exley, Phillip Denton and more recently Alan Fowler. Alan is excited to work with Leisa, supporting her as her new Assistant-Principal.

Leisa joins from Old Silkstone Brass Band and has been a part of their recent success and regeneration and is delighted to be working with the Yorkshire Imps:

‘I’m really excited about this opportunity, imps are a terrific sounding band and I’m looking forward to preparations for Butlin’s Mineworkers Contest and beyond that working with Russell Gray for the areas.’

We would also like to welcome Fraser Hill to the cornet section, who has joined from the York Railway Institute Band. Fraser brings a wealth of experience and will strengthen the band even further.
